A Year in review.

So what have we been up to? A LOT!! There is never a dull moment or a spare moment around here. In the last year or year and a half, we have started and finished a kitchen remodel, had the barn hit by lightning and burn to the ground, started homeschooling, and raised and butchered chickens. I am still working at least one day a week at the hospital and picked up a job at Kohls working a few hours a week. We both read the book "The Radical" by David Platt and had our eyes open to why we are really here as Christians. We hope to one day be on the mission field...where ever that may be...here are some pictures of what has been happening around here

We started the remodel in July and finished in October. That means there was no kitchen sink or stove that whole time. I was SO happy to get a kitchen sink and counters back! We moved the fridge and table and food into the living room and ate off a lot of paper plates in those months. I learned to cook a lot out of a microwave and crock pot :) In the end it was all worth it. The kitchen is double in size and more than 3 people can fit in it at a time...and it isn't blue!

My dad came and helped lay tile and Tom's parents came and helped paint and hang cabinets.

I will add more pictures in the next post...enjoy
